Swim Lessons

Malden Aquatics has a team of American Red Cross certified Water Safety Instructors who are available to teach private and group lessons at your home or

nearby facility. You are never too young or too old to take swim lessons. Our Instructors are qualified to teach a wide range of swimmers; ranging from

infants (at least 3 years old) who are entering the water for the first time, to helping adults further build on existing aquatic skills.

Dolphin: Stroke Development

Sea Turtle: Primary Aquatic Skills

Gold Fish: Introduction to Water Skills

Participants will use previously learned skills to refine and develop their strokes. Participants will also be introduced to the breast stroke and be able to independently swim on their front and back for 20 yards. By the end of this level Participants will be able to: Tread water using sculling arm motions with different kicks Perform a standing dive Swim on side using scissors-like kick. Perform front crawl independently for 20 yards Perform back crawl independently for 20 yards Perform elementary backstroke independently for 20 yards
Participants will use previously learned skills to build endurance while learning introductory strokes. Participants will also learn to swim independently in the water without assistance. By the end of this level participants will be able to: Perform rotary breathing in horizontal position Perform a kneeling dive Combine skills to develop an introductory front crawl Combine skills to develop an introductory back crawl Combine skills to develop an introductory elementary backstroke Swim 10 yards on their front independently Swim 10 yards on their back independently
Participants will be introduced to beginner in-water skills used to build confidence and develop independence. By the end of this level participants will be able to: Safely enter into the water Submerge their head Blow bubbles (intro to rotary breathing) Develop a flutter kick Develop scooping arm motions Perform back floats With assistance - Swim on front, back, and side using combined arm and leg actions

Camp and Lifeguard Training
Malden Aquatics will come to your camp or facility and certify / re-certify your lifeguard staff. We provide training in lifeguarding / waterfront, CPR/AED pro, and first Aid. Our instructors will give your management staff the tools needed to effectively run their swim program. Services include: Certifying / re-certifying employees in: Waterfront Lifeguarding (Non-surf waterfront facility i.e. lake or beach) Lifeguarding (Traditional pool) CPR/AED for the professional rescuer First Aid Certifying & Training head lifeguards / waterfront directors in: How to effectively run your swim instruction program Lifeguard Management Lifeguard Management Learn to: 1. Ensure the safety of both the lifeguarding team and facility patrons 2. Supervise and train the lifeguard team 3. Supervise the safety inspection, general care and cleaning of the facility The course will: Provide counseling on how to properly train and maintain an efficient lifeguard staff. Assists you in understanding the responsibilities as a lifeguard supervisor and guides you in meeting the challenges of your role. Enhance your ability to process risk management and apply responsibilities such as budgeting, purchasing, programming and pool operations. POOL PARTIES

Interested in hiring a lifeguard for your next pool party? Malden Aquatics provides your party with the safety and entertainment your child deserves. Certified lifeguards will come to your home/facility and provide the supervision and entertainment needed to enhance your aquatic experience. Our lifeguards provide fun in water and land activities that are safe and appropriate for all ages. If you are looking for that extra splash of fun or just want the supervision that only a trained professional can provide, call or email to register now! A few of our pool and land activities include: Water Volleyball (Pool volley ball net is provided) Pool basketball (Inflatable hoop is provided) Water wheel races Kickboard and swim races Water balloon toss Free Swim *Swim toys and equipment are available upon request.Payment & Cancellation Policy A 20% deposit must be provided prior to party in order to secure a lifeguard and their services. Pool Parties must be cancelled 1-week prior to meeting in order to reschedule. Cancellations of pool parties without a 1-week notice will result in loss of deposit.

Malden Aquatics offers a complete pool management package, which includes a full range of services that will ensure your pool is supervised and maintained effectively throughout the summer season. Services include a Certified Pool Operator that will open and close your pool between seasons. Our company will provide your facility with experienced personnel that is responsible for ensuring and promoting safety as well as providing preventive maintenance. Our staff is trained in the day-to-day operations that will guarantee a successful and safe summer. To guarantee a high quality of supervision and pool maintenance, a CPO and pool supervisor will make routine visits to your facility. CPO Training

Certified Pool Operator

CPO certification courses are designed to provide individuals with the knowledge, and skills necessary to operate as a pool and spa operator. Participants will learn maintenance and safety including: circulation, filtration, chemistry, safety and risk management. This two-day course is taught by a NSPF certified pool operator instructor.

No prerequisites required

Course Requirements

In order to pass the CPO course, all students must complete the final open book exam with a score of at least 75%

Completed Certifications

Upon completion of the course, all participants will hold certifications in:

Certified Pool and Spa Operator

The CPO certification is valid for 5 years

Course hours: 16-18 hours based on a 10-person class
